Israeli guitar player and composer. Grew up with significant early exposure to music and displayed prodigious musical talent as a young child.

He began piano lessons just before his third birthday and gave his first formal piano recital at the age of seven, playing works by composers including Mozart, Bach and Hayden.

Yoav picked up the guitar at the age of 13 and since then has been performing around Israel with top Israeli jazz musicians.

At the age of 18, he served the Israeli army as a software developer in an elite technology unit. He has annually received the America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships for Jazz since 2008. He received scholarships from the “New School” (NY) and won the ‘President’s scholarship’ from Berklee College Of Music.

2011: Received the Israeli government prize for original creation by adapting a well-known children’s album into Jazz and performing it throughout the country.

2012: Won a Yamaha guitar at the prestigious international Jazz competition in the United States – “Six String Theory” sponsored by Berklee College of Music and Yamaha.

2013: Won 1st Place Prize at the annual Jazz Competition of Rimon, Israel

2014: Won 3rd place Prize in the Montreux Jazz Festival Guitar Competition.
